U15 football v APHS

Fakenham traveled to Alderman Peel High School in high hopes on the back of a successful season last year. Fakenham started strong winning the ball in the opening seconds and driving at goal immediately. Alderman Peel had a strong midfield and won the ball back and went on the attack, but Fakenham's defence of Issac, George, Lewis and Harry  stood strong and denied Alderman Peel time after time.

Fakenham won a corner early on in the game and the ball was floated in by Ryan and Will managed to find the back of the net. But Alderman Peel came back strong and scored almost straight after. Zak, Ross, Archie and Samir managed to work the ball up the pitch and find Archie in the oppositions half and beat their defence and score. Half time APHS 1-2 FAN.

Fakenham kicked off the second half and knocked the ball around neatly on the floor. Samir managed to get some crosses and shots away but Fakenham were unsuccessful leading towards the opposition goal. Attack after attack they came looking but Charlie in the sticks managed to prevent many APHS chances. Reif was feeding the ball constantly to the midfield and allowing Fakenham to attack and Ross then scored a much needed goal. Fakenham's confidence rose but was matched by the opposition. APHS were starved of the ball by the Fakenham squad allowing Will to make a run and score his second of the game. Fakenham were caught out by a quick free kick and an APHS attack which led Fakenham conceding two late sloppy goals.

Full time 4-4. Overall a disappointing result for Fakenham, but we will be looking for a victory next game.
