U13 Football Vs APHS

The U13’s traveled to play against a strong APHS side on Thursday 19th September. We started very brightly and took the lead within the first 2 minutes after Charlie E met a corner perfectly and headed into the back of the net. We continued to be the better side in the first half with some good passing in midfield between Josh, Tom and Jim. Half chances were created but we failed to convert. This was punished just before half time when APHS equalized with a well worked goal.

Into the second half and the game was more evenly matched and the game could have turned either way. Wells took the lead, however it still felt the game was in the balance. Fakenham were pressing hard for an equalizer but their efforts didn’t pay off unfortunately. Despite some continued good defending by Ethan, Jim, Alfie and Teddy, APHS made it 3-1 and the head of the Fakenham team dropped, and the game finished 4-1 after Wells added another with the last kick of the game.

Moving forward we need to work together and combine with teammates to create better goal scoring opportunities.
