Two More Rugby Wins For FAN

Fakenham Academy celebrated two further Rugby wins this week:

Fakenham v Alderman Peel High School Year 8 Team

Well done to all the boys who played in the rugby game on Friday. We played against Alderman Peel High School and won 60-5 which was absolutely astonishing. The opening try to the game was scored by Samuel Dixon with a brilliant run across the pitch. Following that, Alfie Cator scored three tries, Sam Cushion scored one, Liam Spooner two, Shea Durrant two and Will Morton got two as well. A big well done to who played against APHS and we are ready for the next games to come.

Fakenham v Alderman Peel High School Year 9 Team
On Tuesday 20th September, the Fakenham Year 9 rugby team took on APHS in what was a brilliant match, which ended 35-14 to Fakenham. The first half got off to a good start for Fakenham, with them scoring 4 tries and conceding only 1. Joe Lockhart crossed for 2 tries, Rio Wurr-Talbot 1 and Louis Singleton 1. Unfortunately, none of them were converted. Both teams made some brilliant tackles and held their defensive lines well. The second half was a much more even affair until near the end when Fakenham scored 3 further tries (Lockhart - 1, Wurr-Talbot -1 and Cameron Baldock - 1), in response to APHS’s converted try.
