Hare Today Gone Tomorrow...

All students in years 7, 8 and 9, have been working on an Art project, looking at how Hares are depicted in art and the plight of the Hare in the English landscape. They have completed lots of work using a wide range of materials, including: paint, pencil tone, chalk, sculpture and printmaking.

The project has run alongside the GoGoCreate hare sculpture trail, to be launched this summer in Norwich, and the Art competition held at Pensthorpe, called Hare today, gone tomorrow. We will be selecting 5 pieces of artwork to enter the Pensthorpe competition, with overall judging taking place on Saturday May 12th, at the Wild about the Wensum. The winners will receive fantastic prizes and will be awarded by tv presenter, writer and naturist Nick Baker.

On Tuesday 20th of March, all student art work was exhibited at school for everyone to see the amazing range and quality. Students and staff voted for their favourite pieces and prizes were awarded to those students.

Well done to all winning students!

Now we wait until the Wild about the Wensum day at Pensthorpe, on May 12th, to see if any of our students can win the overall prize! On the day the winners will be announced at 3:30 by Nick Baker. As the event is aimed at families and those in the local community, the admission prices are reduced to a nominal fee. See online  for details at
