Fakenham has played CNS previously a few years ago and came away without a victory then and sadly, this was again the case. CNS, despite not fielding a full XV were up for the game from the off and ran in their first try within the first two minutes of the game. Fakenham were, perhaps, under strength due to notable absences of two key players, but still fought hard and did their best.
The game continued as it had started, with CNS scoring several tries before Fakenham ever had possession of the ball. Fakenham continued to do their best against a superior opposition and got their reward shortly before half time with some hard work on the left wing from Alfie Fish, Jimi Brotherton-Heasman and Seth Marshall, resulting in a try.
The second half was very similar to the first, with CNS scoring several more tries, however Fakenham did not drop their effort levels and did their best to contain a strong CNS team. Fakenham again managed a score in the second half, but were sadly well beaten by this point; the end result being 70-10.
Notable comments from the game: first game back from James-Elliott Jolly after almost a year out, a first appearance for Jimi Brotherton-Heasman and a first game as captain for Erikas Radzius.
