FAN Student Wins STEM Event First Prize

Fakenham Academy Students were given the opportunity to attend a STEM event at Paston college in July The North Norfolk Skills & Careers Festival is a free interactive exhibition for 13-18 year olds in North Norfolk aimed at inspiring young people for their future careers and increasing awareness of their options. Sarah, Year 9 attended this event. All the students had the opportunity to join in with various STEM activities.  Also local traders had an array of information stands.

The students were all given a sheet containing a set of clues which they had to solve.

Sarah completed all the clues correctly and following a draw was selected by NNDC as the winning entry.

Along with the fantastic comments we received from the organisers about the interaction of our group, Sarah winning first prize was an extra boost for FAN and a super treat for her.

Well done to all the students especially Sarah for showing FAN in a shining light.

We were proud to take them all.
