Fakenham Charities Award Bursaries to Fakenham College Students

On Wednesday 14th September, 3 Fakenham College students were presented with cheques from The Fakenham Charities to support their education.

Tom Daly, 16, Courtney Robinson-Heath, 16 and Zachary Green, 18, were each awarded £300 towards the cost of their studies.

All three students who are currently studying towards their A/AS Levels at Fakenham College, applied to Fakenham Charities in July for the grants which aim to help students living in Fakenham or Hempton. All three students have high aspirations for their future, Tom wanting to become a Commercial Pilot, Courtney a Teacher, whilst Zach is hoping to pursue a course of study at Oxford, or career in Drama.

The cheques were presented to the students on Wednesday 14th September at the college, by Mr Nigel Westmancott of the Fakenham Charities, and also the Mayor of Fakenham, Adrian Vertigan. Mr Westmancott said that the charities wished to commemorate the Queen's 90th birthday through inviting students to apply for bursaries totaling £900, supporting the future generations of Fakenham.

Congratulations to these students on receiving their bursaries, and thanks to Fakenham Charities in their support of our students.
