Duke Of Edinburgh Gold Expedition

Twelve sixth form students set out for Yorkshire to complete their final expedition at the end of September. All three peaks were conquered over the four days, an impressive accomplishment in the wet misty weather.

The expedition is only one section of the Gold Award. Students are required to complete four further sections: volunteering, physical, skills and a residential. This year twenty four year 12 students have signed up to take part in the award and many have already started volunteering in the local community and supporting younger students in school.
