On 11th November I went to London to The Old Vic Theatre, with the SportsAid team and RBC. When I was there, we had lunch and talked to everyone. The opening statements were made and we then went into the theatre. Everything was about learning the best way to communicate to an audience and look confident and engaging. It was really nerve-racking but worth it as I am now much more confident to speak in public. I got to speak to a small audience on the Old Vic stage under the spotlights, which was terrifying but great.
After all of this we had a chat with Olympic silver medallist diver, Leon Taylor, about what life as an athlete is like. It was really insightful and great to meet him. Overall, it was a nerve-racking experience but one well worth taking.
