College students take part in UKMT Senior Maths Challenge

On the 8th November the A-level mathematicians braved the annual UKMT Senior Maths Challenge. This is a 90 minutes paper with 25 multiple choice questions. The questions are challenging and require creative use of maths to solve correctly. Across the world about 100,000 students take part every year.

Gold certificates are awarded to the top 10% of scores. Silver to the next 20%, and Bronze to the next 30%.

We had an excellent set of results this year. The best in college was by Jonathan James. Silver certificates went to Will Feneley, Maciej Kozodoj, Tim Wayland, Charlie Sopp, Luke Feneley, Josh Robb, Tom Daly, Chant Muir, Luke Osborn. Bronze certificates went to Emilia Latter, Joe Vertigan and Toby Collins.

Well done to everyone who took part.
