Y11 Football Vs APHS

The game was at home against APHS and the weather was freezing. Once again we went into the game with our heads dropped after our last game against them, where we lost 7-1. The game kicked off and Fakenham had a great start with their best first 15 minutes they have ever played but a bad kick from the keeper gave APHS the start they needed as they went 1-0 up inside the first 20 minutes.

We got into the second half ready to go for the three points and we got a quick goal within 5 minutes of the second half with a great ball from Brandon Ballett out to Stanley Harvey on the right wing who took the shot on the half volley and Stephen Penny touched it in on the line. A penalty decision was awarded after Kieran Ballett took their player out inside the box to give APHS a penalty - Wells made it 2-1.

Fakenham then took kick off and went up the other end and another great ball from Brandon Ballett went to Stanley Harvey who finished it off to make it 2-2. In the dying minutes of the game Scott Smerdon made a great run down the left wing, got to the byline and put it into the box for an attacker to finish it into an open goal, but unfortunately it was put wide and we drew the game.

Fakenham are still undefeated this season after two games after never winning a game since the last game of last season.
