Fakenham celebrates Badminton Successes

Fakenham Academy U12 Girls were crowned Norfolk School Badminton Champions 2016-2017 after beating Hethersett Old Hall Girls School 7-2.

The girls already had wins over Aylsham and Ormiston Victory under their belt so their final win gave them and the school their first every Girls Badminton title.

None of the girls had played badminton until they started Fakenham Academy in September but after attending the regular after school badminton clubs, they all improved immensely and deserved and earned their success.

WELL DONE GIRLS

Fakenham Academy U14A & U14B boys travelled to Taverham, a new venue and team for the boys to play.

The U14A boys won 9-0 and the U14B boys won 6-3.

Due to players not being available Barnaby Heazel, Jacob Brett and Joe Curtis all of whom had not played badminton until September, kindly stepped up from the U12 Boys team, to play in the U14B and Sam Dixon to move into the U14A.

The boys all played very well representing the Academy fantastically.

Mrs Price did note that we would be coming straight back as their was no chip shop or MacDonalds on the way home. However,Tyler Cator kindly sent Mrs Price an email informing her that Lenwade had a chip shop and it would be open!!

So the residents of Lenwade definitely had to wait for their supper when all 12 of our players clambered into the very small chip shop for their lunch.

WELL DONE BOYS ONCE AGAIN.
